Restore What Time Has Softened

Ageing often comes down to small shifts. A subtle loss of cushion in the cheeks, a softening along the jawline, or quiet creases tracing the mouth. With dermal fillers, we can restore that lost volume and structural support to recreate your youthful contours. At Anzalone & Joseph ENT and Facial Aesthetics, our expert injectors use the highest quality dermal fillers and precise anatomical placement to revitalize your natural features rather than completely reshape them.

With our decades of experience in facial aesthetics, our approach ensures your results never look overdone, stretched, or puffy. Instead, we elevate your natural features, smooth transition zones, and soften deep folds to reveal a refreshed, beautifully rested appearance that looks effortlessly, authentically you.

Quick Facts

The Products

There are many different kinds of dermal fillers on the market today, so it’s confusing to figure out which one will work best for you on your own. Each formula in our curated collection of dermal fillers is engineered with a specific density and flexibility to address distinct depths and areas of the face:

  • Volumizing Formulations: Denser, highly supportive gels that sit deep against the bone. They mimic youthful structure to restore cheek projection, lift sagging midface tissue, and sharpen a receding jawline or chin.
  • Smoothing & Contouring Formulations: Mid-density, pliable gels made for dynamic areas. They seamlessly blend nasolabial folds, soften marionette lines, and define lip borders while flexing naturally with your expressions.
  • Micro-Refining & Hydrating Formulations: Ultra-light, fluid gels designed for delicate zones. They gently erase fine perioral “smoker’s” lines and provide soft, natural hydration to the body of the lips without adding bulky volume.

The Procedure

These procedures are quick, minimally invasive office treatments that prioritize comfort and immediate refinement. Before the injections, a topical numbing cream is applied to your skin, and the fillers themselves contain integrated lidocaine for a gentler, more comfortable experience throughout.

With ultra-fine needles or blunt-tipped micro-cannulas, our expert injectors strategically place precise amounts of dermal filler into your target zones. The entire active injection process typically takes between fifteen to thirty minutes. You’ll instantly see your refreshed, restored contours before leaving the office, with no required downtime!

Recovery

The recovery process is quick and simple, making it one of our most convenient, “lunchtime” procedures. Because there are no incisions or surgical sutures, you can immediately return to your daily routine right after leaving our office!

It’s normal to experience mild, localized swelling, slight redness, and minor tenderness at the injection sites, as well as the occasional small bruise. These temporary effects typically peak within the first 24 to 48 hours and naturally subside over the next few days. To minimize swelling and allow the gel to settle perfectly into your tissue, we recommend avoiding strenuous exercise, intense heat (like saunas, tanning beds, or hot tubs), and alcohol for the first 24 to 48 hours.

For most dermal fillers, we tell patients to avoid rubbing, massaging, or pressing firmly on the treated areas for several days following your procedure. Pressure can cause the filler gel to migrate away from its targeted place before it’s fully integrated, and it can also increase localized swelling or bruising. Follow all post-procedure care instructions closely, and contact your provider if you have any questions.

While you’ll see an immediate improvement in your volume and contours that same day, the final, fully integrated results are revealed after about one to two weeks.

What to Expect on
Your First Visit

Your initial consultation is a personalized, educational assessment to map your facial architecture and align your aesthetic goals. Rather than focusing on isolated lines, we analyze your entire face in three dimensions. We evaluate bone structure, soft tissue loss, and dynamic movement to determine where structural support will achieve the most natural, subtle lift.

We’ll review your medical history, discuss the various formulations best suited for your needs, and outline a conservative treatment plan made just for you. Following this session, you will have a clear understanding of the procedure and a customized treatment plan in hand. For eligible patients, same-day treatment is an option, so you can save time and look refreshed immediately!

Frequently Asked Questions

The longevity of your results depends on the specific product formulation used, the treatment area, and how quickly your body metabolizes hyaluronic acid. Highly dense, structural fillers placed deep in the cheeks or chin can typically last between 12 to 24 months. Flexible, mid-density gels used for expression lines or lip enhancement generally last between 6 to 12 months. Periodic maintenance treatments may be needed to sustain your refreshed appearance.

No. At Anzalone & Joseph ENT and Facial Aesthetics, our core philosophy focuses on structural restoration rather than creating a completely new structure. By using microcannulas, strategic layering, and precise placement, we strictly avoid the “puffy” or overdone look. Our expert injectors apply small, calculated amounts of gel that seamlessly integrate into your native tissue, so your face retains its natural movement and unique character while looking revitalized and well-rested.

Patients report that discomfort is minimal, with only a mild pinch or pressure sensation during the treatment. Most modern hyaluronic acid fillers are pre-mixed with lidocaine, a localized anesthetic that numbs the internal tissue as the product is placed. For even more comfort, we also apply a topical numbing cream to the skin before every injection.

While both are non-surgical injectables, they target aging in entirely different ways. Botox® is a neuromodulator that temporarily relaxes the underlying facial muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles, like crow’s feet and frown lines. Dermal fillers use hyaluronic acid and biocompatible gels to physically restore lost volume, lift sagging contours, and fill static lines or deep hollows that show even when your face is at rest.

One of the greatest advantages of using these dermal fillers is that every treatment is entirely reversible and adjustable. If you want a minor tweak or decide you prefer your pretreatment appearance instead, we can inject an enzyme called hyaluronidase. This enzyme safely dissolves the hyaluronic acid gel within 24 to 48 hours, returning your tissue to its original state.
